Accessing your Lake Como retreat at CasaMI‑CO is not only simple — it’s completely key-free, secure, and designed for maximum convenience. No need to worry about lost keys or late check-ins. Thanks to our smart access system powered by the Nuki Smart Lock, you can enter both the building and the apartment using just your smartphone.

All you need to get started is the Nuki app, which is free and available on iOS (App Store), Android (Google Play), and Huawei AppGallery. You won’t need to create an account or configure complex settings.

A few hours before your arrival, you will receive two unique invitation codes via message or email. These codes will allow you to activate the digital keys inside the app:

One code gives you access to the main entrance gate of the building.
The second code unlocks the apartment door itself.

Once activated, your digital access will remain valid throughout your stay — from the official check-in time (4:00 PM) until check-out (10:00 AM) on the day of departure.

📢 Update Summer 2024 – Simplified Access for an Even Smoother Check-in

Starting this summer, we’ve simplified the entry process at CasaMI‑CO to make your arrival even easier.

From now on:

The Nuki Smart Lock app will be used only to open the main entrance gate (the street-level door).
To unlock the apartment door, you’ll simply use a 6-digit PIN code on the keypad located next to the door — no app required.

So instead of two activation codes, you will now receive:

1 activation code for the gate (via the Nuki app)
1 PIN code for the apartment keypad

This new system offers a faster, more flexible check-in — especially if you’re arriving with luggage or without internet access.

Holiday Home Smart Lock Instructions – step-by-step

Step 1: Download the App

Download the NUKI app from your device’s store: AppStore (for iOS devices), Google Play (for Android devices) and AppGallery (for Huawei devices);

Step 2: Receive the 2 Activation Codes

Shortly before your arrival you will receive two activation codes.
These activation codes received will remain valid for the entire duration of your stay and will be deactivated automatically upon check out (10am on the day of your departure);

Step 3: Activate the App

Once the app has been installed and the activation codes have been received, open the apps, first click on the button located on the bottom side and fill in the first received code:

Click Next and follow the on screen instruction

Step 4: Complete Setup

Then click on the menu (the three lines at the top left) and choose “Enter Invitation Code”;

Enter the second activation code you received and then click on Next.

You’re now ready to unlock both access points.

Step 5: Use the App

Open the gate and apartment door easily with your phone; remember, you can also lock the apartment door using the app.

Step 6: Optional keypad access

we’ve installed a numeric keypad next to the apartment door (picture A – just below). Enter your PIN to unlock, and press the “back arrow” to close it (picture B – just below) — handy if you don’t have your phone with you.

Some important notes now.

Activation codes and PIN will remain valid for the entire duration of your stay, from the time of check-in (4.00 pm on the day of arrival) until check-out time (10.00 am on the day of departure);
The two codes are different: the first one is used to enable the app to open the entrance door on the street while the second one is for the door to the apartment;
Front door can be opened and closed either with the app or with the numeric keypad; in this specific case, type the opening code to open the door and the left arrow to close it (picture B – just below)
Entrance door on the street can only be opened via the app.
