Carnival is coming! It’s the time of year when we start to feel out of winter and can almost taste the start of spring. For us, in Italy, Carnival is so much important, and not just for our little babies. It is a joy to meet together in the streets, with the parades of allegorical floats and our masked children.
What about spending your Carnival in the mountains, here in San Fedele Intelvi, just above Como Lake, this year?
It is a perfect spot to celebrate Carnival. First of all, it is a place of peace and tranquility, where you can relax and unplug from the daily routine. Furthermore, our mountains offer many fun and adrenaline-filled activities, which will make your Carnival a unique and unforgettable experience.
Do you need other, valid, reasons why you should spend Carnival in the mountains of Val d’Intelvi? Here are some:

The final event
Remember, party will reach its highest point on Saturday, February the 10th, with the “W il Carnevale” event. We will meet at 2pm, in Piazza XXV Aprile. Chocolate and Mulled Wine, obviously, cannot be missing and, in the end, after the parade through the streets of our beautiful village, all together for an inviting “risottata”. Here are some tips for organizing your Carnival, with us:
- Book in advance: especially if you are traveling with family or friends, it is important to book in advance your accommodation and the activities you want to do;
- Don’t forget the right mask at home. Carnival is a masquerade party, so don’t forget to bring a fun and original mask with you and remember: you’re never too old to party!

il Carnevale sta arrivando! È quel periodo dell’anno in cui iniziamo a sentirci fuori dall’inverno e possiamo quasi assaporare l’inizio della primavera. Qui da noi, in Italia, sentiamo moltissimo il Carnevale, e non soltanto i nostri piccoli. È una gioia ritrovarsi insieme in piazza, con le parate di carri allegorici e i nostri bambini mascherati.
Quest’anno, perché non trascorrete il vostro Carnevale in montagna, qui a San Fedele, in val d’Intelvi, poco sopra il lago di Como?
È un luogo perfetto per festeggiare il Carnevale. Innanzitutto, è un luogo di pace e tranquillità, dove potete rilassarvi e staccare la spina dalla routine quotidiana. Inoltre, le nostre montagne offrono molte attività divertenti e adrenaliniche, che renderanno il vostro Carnevale un’esperienza unica e indimenticabile.
Volete altri motivi validi per cui dovreste trascorrere il Carnevale sulle montagne della val d’Intelvi? Eccovene alcuni:

Cioccolata e Vin Brulè non potranno ovviamente mancare e, per concludere, dopo la sfilata per le vie del nostro bellissimo paese, tutti insieme per un’invitante risottata. Eccovi alcuni consigli per organizzare il vostro Carnevale qui da noi:
- Prenotate in anticipo: soprattutto se viaggiate con la famiglia o con gli amici, è importante prenotare in anticipo il vostro alloggio e le attività che volete fare;
- Non scordate a casa il costume giusto. Il Carnevale è una festa in maschera, quindi non dimenticate di portare con voi un costume divertente e originale e ricordate: non si è mai troppo cresciuti per far festa!
